刘九洲，男，89岁，籍贯江西，离休老红军
1948年2月我们相识，当时觉得她心眼好、忠厚，性格开朗，对工作认真。到现在没有什么改变。两个人每天在一块儿。
家里人觉得我太倔，坚持己见，不顾及家里人的想法。错误倒没有。
我14岁参加革命，当红军，一直工作到离休。 我做周总理警卫。他从各个方面都影响了我，要无私忘我地为人民服务。
她性格比较急，一直都没变。但是我可以忍耐，已经适应了。
性格虽然有差别，但是没有过什么大矛盾。家里的事情她做主。
我33岁组织上介绍结婚，之后很想要孩子。1950年大女儿出生了，我们都很高兴。
我不怕死！只是我想再陪她过20年，或者再多几年。

时艳华，女，79岁，籍贯河北唐山，离休老干部
他人品好，可靠、老实。他这一辈子做事从来不求回报，一直都没改变。我要对他更好。
他从来想不到家里人的利益，每次分房子什么的，都让给别人，也不和家里人商量。这些一直没有变。我想到他是在总理身边时间长了，只有奉献想不到自己，我也就不计较了，迁就他吧。
20岁出头的时候，别人给我介绍过高干，我没有同意。我选择他，是一个好决定。
我们性格不一样，他沉闷我活泼。1952年夏天，一次我想去看电影，他不想去，宁愿在家里待着，我好不容易说服他，结果一出门就开始下雨，我们还是没看成电影。回家之后我越想越气，端起一盆凉水从他头上浇下去，全身湿透，他也不发火，只是站起来回头看了我一眼，就走了。我愣在那里，就这样结束了矛盾。我们从没吵起来过。
解放初期，我们开始学习跳舞，当时很多中央领导都喜欢到北京饭店参加舞会，我们也很喜欢跳舞。现在没有精力了。
陪伴和照顾老伴。我现在每次出门不久，就会想，家里还有个老头呢，就赶紧回家。
1968年我开始挨整，到宁夏劳动改造。被批斗多了，想到过自杀。当时他在北京，一直在照顾我父母和家人，还每个月给我写信，寄点花生米啊、零食什么的给我，一直在想着我。后来我就挺过来了，直到回北京。
人要看开。我和老头说起过这件事，每个人都有这么一天，人要为自己的生活负责。如果明天老头走了，也没有什么，我会好好活下去，去旅游，开阔眼界。
